Cheers To You And Yours. Happy New Year!December 31, 2021 3:37 pm
No matter how you spend your New Years Eve tonight you will want to make sure you stay healthy and safe so you can head into 2022 with a clean bill of health. Whether you’re headed out for a night on the town, doing a quiet countdown with friends and family, or taking in First Night in one of the great towns throughout Connecticut there are a variety of ways to celebrate.
Here at Stony Creek we are encouraging you to celebrate responsibly and keep you and your family safe this New Years Eve. With a couple of these reminders you will hit the ground running for 2022.
- Don’t drink and drive. No matter what your celebration looks like if you’re going to be drinking you should not be getting behind the wheel of a car, This is one way that can get your seriously injured and get your 2022 off to a terrible start. With rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft it is easier then ever to skip driving if you’ve been drinking.
- If you’re unvaccinated, wear a mask. Even if you are vaccinated and you are among others who may or may not be vaccinated you should wear a mask. If you are in a large group of people, especially indoors, you should wear a mask to keep yourself healthy.
- After you’ve done the countdown and celebrated the start of a new year, stay where you are. Going out on the roads late at night can be very dangerous, especially on a night when there are so many more cars on the road. If you can stay where you are, do that. If you cannot, try to get home using streets that aren’t as busy.
- Have fun! Yes, this falls under the reminders of having a good start to your 2022. Smiling and laughing with friends and family for many is a way to release the challenges of the year that was and ring the new year in with gusto!
However you’re celebrating the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 we hope you do it safely and stay healthy. We are grateful to you, our patients, our clients, our friends, and our families for the trust you’ve placed in us to be your urgent care of choice in 2021 and we hope that 2022 brings you great joy, love, and health.
Happy New Year!
