3 Reasons You Should Restart Your New Year’s Resolutions Today

It’s been a wild start to the new year already and 2021 is showing no signs of slowing down. Lots of interesting and weird things lie ahead so it’s no wonder that a large percentage of people who made resolutions are already giving up on them.

Making a significant change in your life while the world around you seems to be in constant flux is one of the most challenging things you can do. There is hope. Despite what the TV shows and magazines will tell you, you can actually start a new year’s resolution any time, all year long. It is never too late to start working toward a better you.

So, we’ve got three reasons you should start your resolutions over, even now in late January if you have already given up on them in the early part of the month.

  1. You owe it to yourself. It’s been a long, challenging 11 months and you have a chance to turn the page and be good to yourself. No matter your new years resolution, you can start making a difference in your life today and tomorrow and the next day. Before you know it, the tough start to 2021 will seem like a thing of the past.
  2. Success is not defined by when you started but by how you did. If you get to the end of 2021 and look back on a year that saw you achieve your goals that you set as part of your new years resolutions, you most certainly will not think, ya, but I started on January 18th and not on January 1st and therefore it’s a failure.
  3. Goals aren’t achieved in days. Missing a few days from the year to achieve your goal will not determine whether you are successful in achieving your goal or not. If you start 18 days “late” that just means you’ll have to work a small bit harder, but not that much. Get after it and the rest will come.

Whatever your new years resolution was, it’s never to late to start. You got this! The only person that can make the change you want is you and if you put one foot in front of the other you will achieve great things in this year that has started off on shaky footing.

Cheers to you and your success!!
