Are you ready for some football? College sports are kicking off and it’s a great time to get vaccinated if you haven’t already. In fact, at tomorrow’s UCONN Football game you can get your vaccine thanks to a booth setup by Griffin Hospital, The Connecticut Department of Health, and UCONN Health.

For those attending the game tomorrow at Pratt & Whitney Stadium (Rentschler Field) there will be the option to receive your COVID-19 vaccination when the gates open at 10:30am. Tickets to the game can be purchased here. The booth will be setup from the time gates open until halftime for you to receive your vaccination.

As health officials continue to encourage those that are unvaccinated to get themselves vaccinated the state of Connecticut continues to be a shining example of how vaccines save lives and slow the spread of the virus so that we can all get back to work and play.

Saturday’s football game marks the home opener for the Huskies who will be playing against Holy Cross. It has been widely reported that 94% of the UCONN Huskies football team has been vaccinated and now the student athletes will take the field and those who have not followed their lead will have an easy opportunity to do so tomorrow.

We’re cheering on the Huskies and YOU if you’re going to take this step to protect yourself and your neighbors.
