A Friendly Reminder About COVID-19 As We Kick Off 2021

Last year was quite the year, filled with tumult and devastating illness for so many. The start of a new year always seems like a good point to press the reset button and move forward. However, this year, is STILL a little bit different.

Even though the tumultuous 2020 is behind us, 2021 presents some continuing challenges. Specifically in the realm of COVID-19, we are not out of the woods yet.

While vaccines started shipping to area hospitals in late 2020 and they continue to ship and be administered as quickly as possible, it will not be until mid to late 2021 that things will be able to slowly return back to “normal.” It is for this reason that we write this friendly reminder, stay vigilant.

  • Wear a mask. This protects you and others from being infected with COVID-19.
  • Keep a social distance of 6 feet.
  • Avoid large group gatherings inside and limit the size of gatherings outside.
  • If you’re sick, stay home. It may be just a cold or it could be something worse, but don’t risk it. Your health and the health of the people around you is counting on you staying home.

It is with a heavy heart that we need to keep these safety protocols in place and keep mentioning them, but it is truly the only way to keep everyone safe until the vaccine has fully rolled out.
